The 45-year-old Pinot Gris vines grow in the monastery vineyard, the oldest location in Laufen. The south-facing location ensures full sunlight, while the barren, calcareous soil enables a harmonious balance between fruit and minerality. The wine shows aromas of citrus fruits and pear, complemented by nutty and slightly smoky notes. The mineral structure and complex body give it depth and substance, while the fine acidity and salty, chalky minerality ensure a lasting and elegant finish. A Pinot Gris with good storage potential.
